Der Monat der Besinnung und Einkehr

Am 01.03.2025 beginnt der Monat Ramadan.

Wir Muslime in der Schweiz freuen uns besonderes.
Es handelt sich um eine ganz spezielle Zeit im jährlichen Lebensrhythmus der Musliminnen und Muslime. Einerseits wurde in diesem Monat das heilige Buch, der Qur’an, auf die Erde herabgesandt (siehe Qur’an, Sura 2, Vers 185). Andererseits begeben sich die Musliminnen und Muslime durch das tägliche Fasten von der Morgendämmerung bis zum Sonnenuntergang in einen besonderen spirituellen Zustand. Sie unterziehen sich einer inneren Reinigung, indem sie sich noch mehr als sonst auf ihren Schöpfer, Allah, konzentrieren und sich vermehrt dem Gebet, Seiner Lobpreisung und der Rezitation des Qur’an widmen und sich selbst zur Rechenschaft ziehen.

Neben dieser spirituellen Reinigung wird auch der Körper der Fastenden gereinigt, entschlackt und entgiftet. Und durch die persönlicher Erfahrung von Hunger und Durst wird auch die Empathie mit den Notleidenden und Armen auf dieser Welt gestärkt. Nicht zuletzt darum wird im Ramadan mehr als sonst gespendet und wird die Zakat, die jährliche Armensteuer, entrichtet.
